A "Death Spiral" refers to a continuously worsening cycle, where each step makes the situation more dire. It's typically used to describe the process of decline or collapse in business, finance, politics, and other fields.
In a common death spiral, those who exit first gain more rewards than those who exit later. As a result, everyone rushes to exit, and the more people exit, the fewer rewards remain for those who stay. This causes even fewer people to want to stay. While this is a negative effect, mathematically, it’s a positive feedback loop, which is an unstable mechanism.
The P.I.V.O.T. protocol, on the other hand, is the opposite. First, the SBT (Soulbound Token) itself has no exit mechanism, so there's naturally no "death spiral." To provide a mechanism for community participants to counterbalance the project initiators in extreme cases, we introduce the "RageQuit" mechanism. However, in this mechanism, the later you exit, the more rewards you receive, and the more people exit, the higher the rewards for those who stay. This forms a negative feedback loop, which is a stable mechanism.
